  1. very useful apps, especially AirDroid which I use on my computer. It allows me to easily manage all files and messages directly from desktop computer. It quite easy to use this app, and if you face with any problems this tutorial will certainly help you since I was very useful to me.

  2. I tried the first method and wont let me see my screen unless rooted. What can someone do if they have a non rooted phone but want to view there desktop of their phone on there MAC

  3. Hi - is there an option to do this across the net... something similar to logmein for the PC... I want to be able to remote control tabs of friends and family to help them set them up best... any options?

I think all the above only work if ont he same physical network...

  4. AirDroid works on 2 nonrooted droids. Same local network. One droid can see icons to interact with the other in specific ways. This isn't full remote control/login like vnc, logmein, etc.

  5. AirDroid only allows access to phone features, not to the Android OS. TeamViewer only for Samsung. Droid VNC Server (rooted droid) only says "Cannot start server :(".

    Any more ideas??

    1. AirDroid should be available for tablet, and at the moment I haven't found another great app. If I have found I will update the post.

  6. These are poor excuses for a real remote access app. Teamviewer only works for Samsung (there are plenty of non samsung tablets out there that are being ignored), Airdroid won't show you the tablet screen so you can troubleshoot and see what your friend or family member is doing wrong (my mom has never used a tablet, cell phone or computer and I need to see what she is doing on screen), and the other requires root, which the average person doesn't even know about.

Maybe one day some dev will provide a complete package, a real remote control app.

  7. Great article. And I have suggests some desktop remote control app for Android in this post "Best 5 Free Remote Desktop Control Apps for Android"
